Julie Shrader, CEO/Founder/President
Feb 13, 2020
Rejuvenating Women was born with a mission to serve the spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being of girls and women who have been sold into sex and labor trafficking.
Julie Shrader is the Founder and President of Rejuvenating Women and the Restored Wings Home Program. Rejuvenating Women is a local Omaha non-profit that provides hope and restoration to victims and survivors of human trafficking from all over the United States. Julie's vision has always been to provide a home that is safe with a compassionate trauma-informed staff and where survivors who have suffered complex trauma can begin to heal. Her passion is to help every woman find healing, peace and love by going through the Restored Wings Program. Julie helps to raise awareness of human trafficking in Nebraska and desires to stop the "Johns" who are purchasing them as well as the "traffickers" selling them. If there is no demand, there will be no victims. Julie works together with all forms of law enforcement as well as Government and Non-Government organizations. |

Kyle Fiddelke, OJB Landscape Architecture

Omaha, meet the Missouri River. A design team guiding the revitalization of The RiverFront in downtown Omaha want to introduce the mighty Mo through their design. Work started in March 2019 with the Gene Leahy Mall. “We’re bringing the river to downtown Omaha, using many of the native plants and trees you would find in this region,” said Kyle Fiddelke, a partner in OJB Landscape Architecture, whose firm has been working on the project for the past four years. The closer you go to the river, the more native and wild the plantings will be in the $300 million project, scheduled to be completed in 2024. That will draw more wildlife, birds and insects, as well as create new places to explore, Fiddelke said. |
