The tournament was held this past Saturday, February 23rd at the Elks Lodge. Despite the pending blizzard, we had a great turnout! Once all member sponsorship payments are received, the tournament will have raised $8,295 gross, $5,009.54 net (estimate).
Expenses were: 2-year gaming license, $2,000 in prizes, Club's 10% admin. fee, and gaming tax estimate. Thank you to Jason James for donating the lodge rental and 20+ pizzas!
The tournament benefited the Rotary Foundation Council Bluffs. The funds have not been designated for donation yet.
80 people played (18 more than last year)! 50 of those were members or sponsored by a member. 53% of 94 members participated.
The winner was Gerard Pogge (sponsored by Erin Johnson). He won a Samsung 85 in. Ultra High Definition TV. Other winners will be reported at a later date.
