Downtown Council Bluffs

Downtown Council Bluffs plays an integral role in our city’s culture, history, and local economy and has served as a focal point of the Council Bluffs community for over 150 years. In an effort to preserve our community’s historic resources and encourage continued vitality within our downtown, the City of Council Bluffs Community Development Department implemented a Downtown Improvement Grant (DIG) program in 2023. The DIG program aimed to provide grant funding to encourage private investment in quality projects that strengthen Downtown Council Bluffs. This presentation will provide insight on the program’s development, goals, structure and project outcomes.
