19% of members have over 30 years of service.
We have 54 active and 10 honorary members as of March.
Age Distribution: 6% under 40. 30% over 60. 19% over 70 years old.
Gender - 51.6% to 48.4%
25% of membership has NOT logged into Club Runner in the past year.
New Member Orientation will be on Tuesday, April 23rd at noon at the Hale YMCA for all the new members and members who want to learn more about Rotary. Lunch will be provided and an email will be sent out on this shortly. There will be a committee meeting next week, after our regular meeting.
Committee Reports:
2/20 Raffle Tickets - 2/20 tickets sales are going well. If you need more, please reach out to Karen. Our budget this year is higher as we don't have the rose sale this year. Each ticket is $20 and each member is asked to sell 10 tickets. Deadline to sell tickets is May 6th. Drawing will be held on May 7th. Our goal is to sell at least 700 tickets.
Scholarship Committee - Rachael said that we have 18 applicants for scholarships and will report in June as to who has been selected.
Golf Committee: Tournament is May 31st. We are in need of Tee Sponsors. Please spread the word and if you have anyone that you know of that might be interested in a sponsorship, please let Shawn or Jonathan know. Still looking for more major sponsors as well.
Fishing Derby - Will be reaching out to committee members to schedule a meeting.
Interact Club: Roberta and her students sold $1760 worth of Krispy Kreme donuts. The remaining dozens were donated to various groups so that they did not go to waste. They are closer to their goal of $3000 to purchase the solar suitcase. Thank you to Rotaract for use of their Venmo code and to all the adult volunteers for helping out in the cold and wind.
Relay for Life Interact Clothing Drive. Collecting gently used clothes, linens, belts, curtains and shoes. You can bring items in a 13 gallon garbage bag to Rotary or to Roberta's house, just please call/email her first if bringing items to her residence. (860.933.8603, robertarocchetti4@gmail.com).
Rotary Day of Service - Will be on Saturday, May 18th at Rotary Park.
Membership: Jennifer Luichoseph, from The Arc, has been voted in as a new member. Jennifer Ricci will be moved to associate membership status for the Arc.

Happy Dollars
Jonathan is happy because his daughter was named All-State for indoor track and All-State Academic Team. Also happy that he went to see the Maine Celtics in Portland Maine.
Kathy is happy because the Auburn hotel made budget last month.
Missy is happy because she won't be at next week's meeting because she will be moving into her new house.
Bob upped the ante for 2/20 raffle ticket sellers...he will give $50 to each person who sells over 50 tickets.
John M is happy that his mandolin injuries were part of discussion at Teeg Auction.
Linda paid for her new phone ringing during the meeting.
Scott was happy because he had to return a pair of pants he ordered on Amazon because they were too big.
Marc his happy because his grandson Otto was born on March 20.
Martha gave $5 because she was so happy, after going away last week to Long Island and eating & drinking so much and only having gained 1/2 lb.
Karen is happy because the daffodils are up and there are cherry blossoms. Also for memories as a kid of her dad listening to the Celtics on the radio with a metal clothes hanger antenna and driving to Cape Cod with him, to a gym on the wharf to watch them practice and getting players autographs.
Doug's $1 was for being an anti-sport but glad for the UCONN boys and girls basketball teams.
Also for camping with Seth in the Catskills with snow and all.
Barry gave a shout out to UCONN and Coach Hurley for taking a different team all the way again.
Crystal is happy because this week Rawson Materials purchased Sterling Concrete.
