Presidents Report:
Rotary Day of Service is Saturday, May 18th.
Wanted to thank everyone who participated and attended in our first new membership meeting.
Voting on making the location change for lunch from the Inn to Day Kimball Hospital. Joe Adiletta made a motion and Paul Pikora second. The last meeting at the Inn will be on June 18th.
Induction dates and information will be forthcoming.
Scholarship night was wonderful with $180,000 given out for scholarships!
A newer member, Andrew Arpin, has decided to quit Rotary and his resignation was accepted by the Board.
Next week, May 14th will be our new member induction.

Committee Reports:
Golf Committee: Please bring donation items to Shawn at the Hometown Bank in Putnam or to our Club Meeting by next Tuesday, May 14th for the Golf Tournament. You can bring donations such as gift certificates, bottles of liquor, golf balls, etc.
Pomfret Community Playground- Karen wanted to thank Doug, Linda and Woody for their help in installing the musical instruments at the Pomfret Community Playground.
Rotary Day of Service - Will be on Saturday, May 18th at Rotary Park.
Programs-
Beth Reinhart from the Livestrong Program at the Hale YMCA presented, with her motivational story of her personal experience with cancer and how Livestrong helped get her life back, after all the treatments and surgeries, etc. Members of this program range from ages 8 to 89; it's a 12 week free program for those who have had cancer and it runs twice a year. Anyone interested can reach out to Cindy Nowlan at the YMCA or at one of our meetings.
Raffle and cookies
Jonathan did not pull the 3 of spades and gave $10 to Archambault Scholarship.
There were no cookies to raffle today.
20/20 Raffle - We had the highest amount of tickets sold this year, making budget and a lot more! We had 6 $50 winners, 7 $100 winners, 4 $250 winners and 2 $500 winners.
Scott Pempek sold the most tickets, and won the bet with Bob Fournier and as a reward for being the biggest and best seller of the 20/20 Raffle, received a very large printed $50 bill with his face and the wording, "In Scott We Trust!"

Pam is happy because her niece, Abigail, who went to RYLA, was invited to go to the US Coastguard Academy for the Introduction to the Mission Program
Roberta is happy - she went to Colorado and celebrated her 44th anniversary and her son and dad won the raffle
Missy is happy about the first Pride event and the Moms for Hugs in attendance
Jen B- youngest daughter turned 2 already, Shylar accepted in the Jr. National Honor Society and took 1st place in track
Gary - after a broadcast he had done, a woman came up to him and reminded him that 17 years ago he gave her a ride to her cancer treatment and she never forgot his kindness.
Linda- Happy about the museum visit sponsored by the SE Rotary club and being able to walk around with Michael Barnet
John Miller is happy that the Centreville Bank was voted the Best Employer in RI and they are working on getting that for CT
Doug- happy about the ribbon cutting at his open house, East Ellis Tech graduating 22 students, proud of grandson, Keegan who ran 100 meters, kicked in the race and passed the other runners and came in 20th in state and Doug has biked 154 miles in 7 days
Cindy - Happy that Beth presented today on Livestrong and that she finished the LS program, receiving grant for blood pressure monitoring and having 106 people screened for skin cancer at that event.
Kristen - son returned from 22 years in Navy, he was the first weapons and antiterrorisn officer, nurses week - we couldn't do without them, successful wine tasting/bartending event raising $50,000 for NE CT cancer fund
Amanda - Thanks to Doug for filling in for two weeks and Beth presenting.
Karen - thanks to the concrete company that helped her at the last minute and reminder of Mother's Day and to think about all the moms.
Joe A. - Had a nice time at his nieces concert in Worcester and a great dinner at Piccolo's and seeing Bob Fournier there as well!
John T - Girls were confirmed last week, his daughter off to a Nike Championship in Oregon
