Gardeners in the Park: Major overhaul of the garden beds took place this summer/fall with many Rotarians helping plant new plants and landscape
New Member Orientation took place at WBA offices with a number of attendees.
2-20 Club Fundraiser sold 647 tickets earning a net profit - after expenses and paying out prize money - of 8,618.81 exceeding our goal by $1268.81
Interact: The interact students continue to participate in numerous fundraising and community service activities making them one of the most active clubs in the district. The recent Salvation Army Kettle campaign raised over $13,000 in five days of ringing!!! They also participated in two TEEG activities and are raising dollars for both their Relay for Life Team and to purchase animals through Heifer International.
Scholarship Committee: Students were granted larger scholarships and were awarded checks at the scholarship night.
Putnam Rotary Foundation: The foundation assets continue to grow to provide scholarship monies for the club to distribute each year. He also reviewed how the foundation reviews investment and earnings, and how annual distribution amounts are determined. The next meeting of the Foundation is on January 16.
Nominating Committee: We are in need of a President-elect who will serve for the 2026-2027 Rotary Year. We also need to fill a two year Board member position. Our Treasurer and Secretary positions are not part of the leadership chairs and have been stable. However, if anyone is interested in these positions, please let John Miller or a member of his committee know.
Sergeant at Arms: Jonathan reported on activities for the Sergeant at Arms.
Social Event: Bloody Mary Sunday on February 2 at 12:00 p.m. - whenever it ends. Cost is $20 and will go to our Club Account.
Financial Report: Fred reviewed our first half financial. Most expenses in our charitable account will be paid out in the second half of the year; many after the Golf Tournament. Members received a full financial report via email.
