President's Report:  We did not have a greeter today. We are looking for more greeters. Please click on the link above to sign up.

Doug thanked Bob Fournier (and his muse, Karen Osbrey for providing the blessing in Kathy's absence.

Doug asked that we continue to keep Rande and Woody in our thoughts and prayers as they recover from their individual surgeries.  He noted that Linda has cards for them, and Ron, and asked that members signed them before they leave.

Doug presented a $500 check to Roberta for the Salvation Army Kettle campaign operated by the Interact Club.

Doug noted that the District Newsletter highlighted two articles on Putnam Rotary Club this month:  The musical instruments and the Interact Club donation to Boston Children's Hospital.

Secretary's Report:  Martha received a card from the Arc Eastern CT, along with a tin of cookies.  We received a check from Denise Archambault for the Archambault Scholarship; we also received a check from Marie Beaulac for the Maurice Beaulac Scholarship Fund.

Committee Reports:

Holiday Party: Linda announced that the Holiday Party will take place this Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 at the Inn at Woodstock Hill.  Members can still sign up.  Linda remined members that the fee is $32.00.

Interact:  Bell ringing is going well!  We are ringing one less week this year, but collections are going well. Roberta remined members that the Interact Club is selling tins of cookies from the Arc as a fundraiser for their club.  Funds will help purchase animal(s) through Heifer International to provide sustainable food source to disadvantaged countries.

Scholarship Committee: Rachael reported that a informal reception is planned for the scholarship recipients.  It will be a dessert reception, possibly at the Inn at Woodstock Hill.  The final details will be determined next week along with the date.  Doug asked that we have as many club members attend as possible to meet the recipients and their families.

Program
Rachel thanked the club for the generous donation of board games for this year' holiday giving. 81 games were collected - the largest number since we have been doing this. Representative from TEEG (Danielle Marie Rivera and Elizabeth Perry), Putnam Family Resource Center (Shannon Haney) and United Services (Terry Hart) were introduced; each representative described their giving program and the number of children and families served.

Gary was happy that he attended the program on the Putnam Asplinock Society  History Makers!  John Miller was the MC.

John was happy that his daughter, Amanda's, friend Joe, who was a medic in the army was selected to be on the Rose Parade float celebrating the anniversary of the US Army. While in the middle east, Joe helped raise money for a young girl to have a heart defect repaired!  This tradition has gone on each year since then.

Pam gave a shout out to Linda Lemmon who quietly does our attendance each week, who plans parties, and serves as out fee collector!

Dave was happy to se the beautiful lights in Putnam.

Doug noted that the  Rawsons once again assisted in the decorations by loaning the crane that set the big ornament in the park.
