Secretary's Report
Thank you card was received from Aspinock Historical Society for our gift to their annual appeal.  Also received Thank You from Interact Club for our support of the Kettle Campaign.
 
There are alot of openings in our greeter schedule. Please take a look and sign up.

Sad to announce the passing of former Rotarian Joyce Duff.  Funeral arrangements have not been released but when we have more info, we will pass it on to membership. 
 
Membership Committees are scheduled to meet next week after the regular meeting.   Anyone willing to help out next week with the orientation portion (especially since we have several new members joining), please let Amanda know. 
 
 
Committee Reports:
 
RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE - Karen thanked those who attended the social.  It was a great time.
 
Andrew Arpin (individual) and Cheryl Guillot (Corporate - Centerville Bank) were presented at this weeks meeting.  Motion was made by Scott and 2nd by John for them to be approved.   The members present voted and both Andrew and Cheryl were approved as new members.
 
New members to be presented next week - Emily Barns from JB Concrete and Kayla Morin, corporate member for Rawson.   We will be voting next week.
 
Committee is reviewing additional candidates.
 
There will be a Board Meeting via zoom today, following the regular meeting.
 
DAY OF SERVICE - Karen participated in the Day of Service Webinar.  Saturday, May 18, 2024 will be Club Service Project.
 
BASKETBALL COMMITTEE - Doug reported that there will be a meeting tomorrow, 2/14/2024 at 4 PM at his WBA "Village" office.

Happy Dollars
Rachel has two happy dollars - Two munchkins spending the day at her house due to snow day and not so happy math homework with 8 year old.
 
Karen's happy dollar was for Pancakes and Chardonnay, her Pancake Day Tuesday Tradition.
 
Amanda gave a shout out to Jennifer B. and the Fire and Ice Team for a great event and a great time.
 
Kathy preached last Sunday at the main service and was really happy with her best service yet.
 
Linda had a happy dollar because her printer had no trouble getting her paper to Putnam Post Office in the snow (but she will have to deliver to Pomfret Post Office herself)
 
Doug has a happy dollar for the  Putnam Candy Office being quiet and happy to have covered parking, so no snow to clean off his vehicle, when he leaves.

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings: Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

These principles have been developed over the years to provide Rotarians with a strong, common purpose and direction. They serve as a foundation for our relationships with each other and the action we take in the world.
