Secretary's Report
Nothing to report today. 
Presidents Report:
Amanda thanked Rande for serving as today's greeter and providing baked cookies to everyone.
 
Today is our Annual meeting.  
Amanda provided a general business update:
  • The board accepted Chris Vallancourt's resignation
  • The next club meeting will be on Tuesday, January 9.
  • The next board meeting will be on Tuesday, January 16
  • Our District Governor will be joining us on January 23.  We will hold our membership meetings afterwards and the DG has been invited to stay.
  • Doug from the Inn will join us at a meeting to update the club on lunch offerings.
  • Membership is on the decline.
  • We are missing revenue from the loss of the Rose Sale
  • Decision need to be made regarding Membership Retention and recruitment, Fundraising, Meeting frequency, Meeting location, vacancies in Secretary position and Board members for next year.
  • SAVE THE DATE: A special Club Assembly will be held on Tuesday, January 30 at the Sawdust Coffee House from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Lunch is salad, soup, 2 sandwich options, and dessert.

A power point was mailed to all club members with details of each committee report.  Verbal reports were presented by the following:
 
FINANCE COMMITTEE - Fred gave a detailed financial report for the end of FY 23, and the first half of FY 24.

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings: Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

These principles have been developed over the years to provide Rotarians with a strong, common purpose and direction. They serve as a foundation for our relationships with each other and the action we take in the world.
