President's Report - Kathy reminded us that the Rotary International Leadership Institute will take place on Saturday, 1/24/26.  This year the institute is offering 10 slots for free admission for Rotarians who have been members for three years or less.  Regular admission is $50. Please let Kathy know if you are interested.

Jonathan Sturdevant has resigned due to his expanded duties at Woodstock Academy that make it hard for him to go to a meeting at lunchtime. We accept his resignation with regret.

We will presenting our scholarship awards to our award recipients on December 30th.  All eight recipients and their family members will be attending. Please consider attending.

Our Holiday party is scheduled for tomorrow December 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Courthouse Bar and Grill.

We will be having a special meeting next week.  It  will be a working, fun, meeting implementing our “Boots on the Ground” program.  We will be putting together packets for homeless and mental health awareness and health.

Action Item:  We made four motions for budgetary issues. The club moved and voted on transferring the following funds into the Putnam Rotary Foundation:

  1. The scholarship assets in the club surplus funds
  2. The balance of our Certificate of Deposit (that is currently a little over $32,000) minus the penalty for early withdrawal
  3. Transfer $4,000 from surplus funds to the “Boots on the Ground” program since it was not originally in the budget.
  4. To transfer $5,000 from the club founded scholarship

We continue to look for two people who can help with the newsletter.

Secretary's Report:  Emily received a thank you from the 4H foundation for our recent contribution.  The letter has been scanned and is available on our website.

Happy Dollars:

Last Friday, Bob Fournier celebrated 20 years as owner of Gilman and Valade.

Tracy gave a happy dollar in recognition of Roberta and the bell ringers.  All ringers were happy and smiling.  She also went tree shopping with her adult children and there was no arguing or crying over the tree!!

Rande returned from a trip with Fred to Belgrade Serbia for a conference.  Got in late last night and is a bit jet lagged.

Martha and family put up their Christmas tree and nothing got broken.  She also enjoyed a brisk walk in the Holiday Dazzle Parade.

Emily was happy that Barnes had a float in the parade, and enjoyed the company party afterwards.

Deborah Hoft enjoyed the parade and is happy to be going to see her son in Nantucket for the holiday.

Fred also enjoyed Belgrade, Serbia.  He attended the Board of Directors meeting of the Internal Assessors Association with many different countries in attendance.  Scott would have loved the meals that were provided.

Karen Osbrey was happy to have Keith with us today. She thanked anyone who was involved in the parade for the success; her switch plates have arrived for the she-shed and she had a sample thanks to Jen B. and Chase Graphics!!!

Jen B. shared another great story about Amira!
