Presidents Report:
Amanda thanked Woody for serving as today's greeter and providing party blowers to everyone.
Announced Rotaract Music Theme Trivia Night - Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thompson Raceway Restaurant.
A special Club Assembly will be held on Tuesday, January 30 at the Sawdust Coffee House from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lunch is salad, soup, 2 sandwich options, and dessert. This is not a regular meeting, but one where the Club will have discussions regarding topics such as future meeting locations, meeting frequency and the secretary role. There will not be a zoom option.
Amanda is looking for a couple of volunteers to help her with the Club Assembly. Anyone interested can contact Amanda. We will be meeting after the Club meeting the next two Tuesdays, January 16th and January 23rd.
There will be a Board Meeting next Tuesday, January 16, 2024, after the Club Meeting.
The District Govenor will be joining us on our January 23rd, 2024, meeting.
Amanda asked Doug from the Inn to speak about the lunch options after this current Rotary year. Doug stated that due to the high cost of food and inability to make profit from the meetings, he has to propose two options: 1. A flat rate of $150 with no food, just meeting space. 2. Cost of lunch would go up to $25 with a minimum of 17 lunch orders. If the 17 lunch orders are not met, the Club would pay the difference. We currently average 12 members who eat weekly, down from the average of 15.
Amanda distributed monetary donations that were collected during the Holiday Party to the following: Aspinock Historical Society, IHSP and Rotaract. Amanda thanked everyone who gave towards this.
