Presidents Report:
Rotaract Liason - We are still looking for two volunteers to serve as the Rotary liaison/advisor for the Rotaract club. They meet twice per month; one meeting is a working meeting, and and one meeting is a social meeting.
Membership: The Recruitment and Retention committee meetings are off to a great start.
The recruitment team received "100 Ways to Recruit Members" from Woody...(thank you Woody!)...and one item in discussion is how they can make it more accessible for Rotaractors to join Rotary after they finish Rotaract.
The retention team will be divided into two subteams, one team focusing on orientation for new members and the second team concentrating on connecting with new members. Amanda would like to get a new corporate member this year and five new regular members.
Monthly Club Meetings: Amanda stated that due to the request of the Inn, we are meeting three times a month. Amanda had suggested that the Club meet at a separate location on the fourth Tuesday of the month, for our recruitment and retention membership meetings. Amanda will bring it to the Board and discuss with the Club thereafter.
Next meeting on Tuesday, September 12. Our presention will be on Suicide Prevention for Suicide Prevention Month. The Board Meeting will follow our Club meeting on this date.
