The Putnam Rotary Club’s Interact Club lent a helping hand at the Putnam Business Association’s (PBA) Pluck-A-Duck fund-raiser’s Kids Zone Aug. 9. Mabel Perreault and Matthew Rybacki gave out popcorn and Calleigh Levesque volunteered at the Make a Wish table. Denise Esslinger from the PBA thanked the Interact Club members for their help.
On Aug. 15 the Interact Club volunteered at the TEEG backpack and school supply distribution. Club members helped families with choosing all the supplies needed for the grade their child is attending. Elizabeth Perry, TEEG coordinator, thanked the club members for collecting back packs and volunteering at the event: “Thank you to Shyla and Sandi Beckett, Mabel Perreault, Matthew Rybacki, Alyssa Daniels and Sophie Godzike.”
The Putnam Rotary Club’s Interact Club is regional club that focuses on community service for ages 12-18. The club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at the Putnam Public Library.
