Welcome to the Putnam Rotary Club!

The members of the Putnam Rotary Club welcome you!

Our club was founded in 1923 by a group of dedicated community leaders, who like ourselves, wished to promote the humanitarian Rotary International motto of "Service Above Self" in Windham County. The Club is organized under the auspices of Rotary International as club number 6507 and is a member of Rotary District 7890, which encompasses Western Massachusetts and the Northern half of Connecticut.

The Putnam Rotary club serves the towns of Putnam, Woodstock, Eastford, Thompson, and Pomfret. The Putnam Rotary Club conducts its weekly luncheon meetings every Tuesday starting promptly at 12:15 pm at The Inn at Woodstock Hill, 94 Plaine Hill RD, Woodstock, CT 06281. Meetings are marked by Rotary's famously friendly spirit, as well as interesting programs including knowledgeable speakers accompanied by a delicious lunch.

Our members reflect a wide diversity of professional interests including but not limited to banking, real estate, law, ministry, consulting, retail, insurance, education, and health care. While annually boasting one of the larger membership rosters in the Rotary District, we take greater pride in the enviable gender and age diversity of our club. This demographic profile consistently ranks us among the most diverse clubs in the Northeast.
