Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Welcome to yet another month of Rotary fun, fellowship and service. October is the Vocational service month and this is the time when we focus on Vocational Service as one of Rotary’s Avenues of Service. It is incumbent upon all of us as Rotarians to:

  • Promote  high ethical standards in what we do;
  • recognize the worthiness of all useful  occupations;
  • Use our vocation to solve the problems and needs of society.

In this regard, we shall have a vocational visit to a Rotarian’s work place. We will also recognize a special person who has exhibited high ethical standards in their vocation at an award ceremony. The Club will also commemorate its 11th birthday on 8th October, but the climax will be the charter Nite Celebration on 12th October at a home hospitality hosted by Rtn Angela at her home in Kawuku.

I want to thank all of you for having totally engaged yourself in the month of September which was dedicated to our youth. Thanks to all who joined us at the two joint fellowships and the home hospitality that was hosted by the President of our baby club, President Arthur.

As I sign out, I want to urge of all you to participate in the Vocational Service month by using your vocations to serve our community, and all those activities that have been planned during this month.

Till then, Stay totally involved,

Florence Lunkuse-Lwanga

President
