RC Kiwatule President - Message for the month of April

Fellow Rotarians,

We have once again closed the month of April, the magazine month.  This was a month of several highlights that I will mention shortly.

We had the medical outreach at Nakyessanja where we provided medical services to over 700 patients from the local community. On the same day, we launched a literacy project where we donated books to Nakyessanja primary school and also an environment project where we planted trees at the school.

 Many thanks to the club members, our partners in service, Rotaractors and other Rotary clubs for your efforts in making it a successful and memorable to the community.

Together, with the Rotary Clubs of  Kasangati, Ssesse, we organised  a successful and well attended  cocktail  at the 89^th DCA  conference.  Special thanks to Centenary Bank for having sponsored the cocktail. As one senior Rotarian put it, even if the conference stops here, the cocktail event will have been worth it.

Our very own Dr. Brendah was acknowledged at the conference and given a plaque in recognition for saving a mother and baby's life in a challenging environment a medical outreach at Ssesse Islands.

Thank  you Dr. Brendah for making us proud. 

Furthermore, our baby club the Rotaract Club of Kampala the  Core, was  recognised as the best Rotaract club for having organised an impactful multiple thronged project in Hoima and for contributing generously to the Rotary Foundation.

Special Congratulations to our club too for receiving a District citation for our contribution for engaging Rotary and changing lives.

As the year is coming to the end, let us prepare for the installation of incoming president Simon Oola and his board in the usual way. The installation is scheduled for 20th June at Silversprings Hotel Bugolobi Let us prepare to celebrate the successes and learnings of the outgoing board and welcome the new board in style.
