At the Gong 2/13/18

President Craig rang the bell at 12:17pm! Phew, met the over / under on that one.
Past President Jeanne (Best job in Rotary) lead the membership in the pledge regardless of the absence of the flag. You don’t have to see it to feel it.
“Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.  ~ Francis of Assisi
Visiting Rotarian Brian Walker from the Rotary Club of Garberville joined us for lunch -he was reminded about us via Next Door!
Sue Sanders stopped in for lunch to check out Rotary…
This Sunday, February 18th is RCTL’s day for EXTRA FOOD pick up at the Marin County Farmers Market- Jeff Moss needs a few more volunteers, please contact him at
A presentation was made by the Co-Presidents of St. Isabella's Interact Club to our Board of Supervisors on 2/13 regarding the Music and Memory Program. That Program, which RCTL has supported without time and money, provides custom loaded music on iPods to dementia patients. The science behind this indicates that the familiar sounds help dementia patients with memory and the social frustrations that they often suffer from. The SI Interact Club is expanding that program to other Interact Clubs; this presentation to the Board was an effort to secure some type of government endorsement or funding that can help the Program help more of our senior citizens.
Both PP Craig and PP Jeff were present for this event, and the Interact Presidents did a great job. Hoorah to the members of SI Interact and their Faculty Advisor, Jack Strange!
RYLA-  our club will be sponsoring two Terra Linda interactors to attend this great program held this April
