Rotary Club of West Springfield Community Grants Available

 

The Rotary Club of West Springfield is now accepting applications for community grants to be awarded this spring. According to William Shepard, Rotary Community Service director, grants from $100 to $3000 are available for 501(c)(3) organizations and grants from $100 to $2,000 are available to other organizations in need.

 

Grant applications are available at Advanced Print and Copy, Century Center Plaza, 229 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield or by calling Mr. Shepard at 786-5270 or Rick Martin 736-9808. All requests must be received by May 18. Applicants are asked to provide their 501(c)(3) certificate with completed application.

 

Each spring and fall, the West Springfield Rotary Club provides grants to civic organizations, educational institutions and not-for-profits who are striving to improve the quality of life in West Springfield.

 

Rotary International is an organization of business and professional persons united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

 

The Rotary Club of West Springfield, under the leadership of President Simon Brighenti meets each Tuesday at 12:15 at the Monte Carlo Restaurant. Its major fundraiser, West Side’s Taste of the Valley is scheduled for June 7-10 on the West Springfield Town Common.
