DESCRIPTION:RE(ad) TREAT is an alliance of multiple justice-minded organiza
 tions in New Orleans committed to hosting a nomadic library for young peop
 le as they discover a love of reading while growing their imaginations\, 
  flourishing emotionally\, strengthening their communities\, and practicin
 g financial literacy.  The event will be held on June 5th at the Beaurega
 rd-Keyes  (BK) House in the Quarter at 1113 Chartres Street\, New Orleans
 \, LA.  From 11:30 am – 1:30 pm Volunteers will read books with childre
 n\, support with reading assessments\, checking children in\, and at the R
 eading Rewards station.  Volunteers can support with set-up at 10:30am or
  tear-down at 1:30pm.  Youth are partnered with Adult Volunteers so youth
  can read books and complete a summary of the book digitally.   Youth ea
 rn “Cha-Ching Coins” for each book they complete and redeem or save th
 eir "Cha-Ching Coins" for incentives.
