With assets of more than $1.3 million and growing, the Delta Foundation awards $35,000 in grants every year to charitable service organizations and scholarships and bursaries to graduating students.
In recent years Kin Village seniors' residence has received $25,000 through the Delta Foundation for various projects, including a bus for outings
Among the many causes supported through the Delta Foundation in the past 30 years are scholarships for high school graduates, the Kin Village bus for seniors, ├ęcole du Bois-joli and its new swings, Little House Society for supporting those with alcohol and drug addiction and the Reach child and youth special needs facility under construction. The Rotary Club of Ladner founded the Delta Foundation, registered in 1986 under the Societies Act of British Columbia. In 1987 the Foundation was registered as a charity with Canada Revenue Agency and assigned a charity number.
The Foundation issues tax deductible receipts for qualifying charitable donations. All officers and directors of the Delta Foundation are volunteers, resulting in minimal administration expenses of the Delta  Foundation.
The founding board of directors in 1986 included Duncan Goheen as chair, Ernie Burnett as Vice Chair, Chester Walden as Treasurer, Peter Podovinikoff as Secretary, Stan Thomas and Colin Thompson as directors.
