Food hampers brighten Christmas for needy families in Delta

The Christmas celebrations of more than 500 lower income families and seniors throughout Delta were made a little brighter on December 21 when they received food hampers, each with a turkey, root vegetables, canned goods, macaroni and cheese, cranberries, cookies, candy canes and bread. Rotary Club of Ladner representatives joined Deltassist and many other service organizations in the annual Christmas hamper food distribution.

Rotary has a long history of peacemaking. PDG Chris Offer was the club’s speaker on Dec. 10^th. He explained how Rotary is using the Positive Peace model to assist clubs and districts to expand their peacebuilding capacity.
