At-risk youth in Delta high schools are receiving more support in helping them steer clear of drugs, gangs and criminal violence and becoming more resilient in the face of challenges thanks to the Yo Bro Yo Girl Youth Initiative and Delta Police. Receiving a donation of $5,000 from proceeds of the Rotary Club of Ladner's 2018 lottery calendar sales is Joe Calendino, executive director and a founder of YoBroYoGirl (3rd right) and Delta police constables (3rd left and 2nd right) Mike Grandia and Ladner Rotarian Ken Kirk. Presenting the cheque are Lynn Cameron and Bridget Jacob (left) and President Ulf Ottho (right). The donation will be used for equipment in local schools to operate the youth program.
