Children in Ladner and Delta are about to have fun with their families, at no cost, when they visit the new Ladner Rotary Splash Park, thanks to sponsors like local greenhouse producer, Village Farms.
Village Farms Founder and CEO Michael DeGiglio, centre, with CFO and Executive Vice President, Stephen Ruffini, left, present a cheque for $5,000 to help sponsor the Ladner Rotary Splash Park, opening this summer, to Irene Forcier, 2nd left, and fellow Rotary Club of Ladner members Lynn Cameron and Walt Hayward
Village Farms was the first greenhouse producer to commit to the splash park project with a donation of $5,000. Recently the company was joined by five other greenhouse producers which have contributed a total of $28,000 along with the rest of the local farming community.
Village Farms produces premium greenhouse tomatoes, bell peppers and cucumbers at its seven greenhouse facilities in British Columbia, including the site on Ladner Trunk Road at 80th Street in Ladner, and in Texas. It also provides technical support, and logistics services for over 200 acres of greenhouse production throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.
