Two Ladner Rotarians received District Governor Awards on May 24th at the Rotary District 5040 2020 Vision Roskars Awards, a virtual ceremony of awards presentations which normally would have been held at the District Conference in late April, but cancelled earlier in the year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Roskars Awards were presented in a virtual ceremony on May 24, 2020, by Rotary District 5040, in place of the ceremony which would have been held at the District's 2020 Vision Conference in late April, cancelled during the pandemic. District Governor Bala Naidoo gave recognition to several leaders in the District with his District Governor Awards.
Past District Governor Penny Offer was recognized for her three years as chair of the District's Learning and Development Committee, contributions to the Annual General Meeting and learning sessions and webinars among many contributions
Peter Roaf was recognized for his work in promoting the District's 2020 Vision Conference, and the Speaker Series which followed, the Our Year Ahead 2020-21 webinars, service on the Crisis Management Team related to youth exchange issues among various communication services. He has also served as a member of the District PR Committee and Peace Fellowship Committee.
