There have been constant and considerable changes in our society which have effected the teaching, learning and practice of Kindness. The Kindness Foundation of Canada asks whether we have lost our manners and our social conscience or just lost our accountability. "If we are not actively teaching and learning about kindness," asks the Foundation, "what is the point of all the rest of the teaching and learning?”

Mike McEwan, President of the Kindness Foundation of Canada, recently retired from the Vancouver School Board after 40 years as an educator, more recently as Principal at Edith Cavell and David Lloyd George Elementary Schools.
