In 1983 Richard began is Rotary career in Cambridge, Ontario. After two years he moved to Vancouver and joined the Rotary Club of Vancouver where he was a member for six years. Five years in the Rotary Club of Winnipeg followed that, then 21 years in the Rotary Club of Ottawa until earlier this year.
