At the Rotary District 5040 Foundation dinner in Vancouver on November 18, District Governor Don Evans presented, on behalf of the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation, to the Rotary Club of Ladner a special 2016-17 club banner  recognizing deep appreciation for the club’s generosity in support of the Annual Fund, as the second highest contributor among the District's 49 clubs.

Out of more than 35,000 Rotary clubs worldwide, the Rotary Club of Ladner is distinguished as being one or more of the following, enabling Rotarians to tackle the world's toughest challenges, in their community and across the globe:
♦ at US$610 per member for Ladner Rotary, one of only 1,573 clubs (under 5%) to achieve Top Three Highest in Per Capita Annual Giving honors in their own district (only clubs with a minimum US$50 Annual Fund per capita were eligible); 
♦ one of only 5,034 clubs worldwide to attain status as an Every Rotarian, Every Year Club (club must achieved a US$100 Annual Fund per capita with every dues-paying members personally contributing US$25 or more to the Annual Fund, during the Rotary year);
♦ one of only 4,136 clubs worldwide (12%) to become 100% Foundation Giving Club (club must achieved an average giving of US$100 to any gift designation with every dues­ paying members personally contributing US$25 or more to The Rotary Foundation, during the Rotary year).
