A Solution That Ends Malnutrition

PDG Una Hobday will be speaking from Tasmania.

She is the Chair of the Food Plant Solutions Rotary Action Group. Una has presented at international conventions, and lately via Zoom all around the world. The Food Plant RAG creates educational materials that explain what nutritional food is, why our bodies need it, and how to grow and use it. They focus on what is often neglected and underutilized plants, plants that are growing in and adapted to their environment and are high in the most beneficial nutrients.

Una was the first female president of the Rotary Club of Hollywood, Western Australia. She was governor in 1999 - 2000 then-District 9540 Western Australia.

AG, District Trainer, member of Rotary Foundation Committee, Member of the Bale Eye Clinic Committee while in this district. Moved to Tasmania in early 2001.

She is now a member of the Rotary Club of Hobart, Tasmania, District 9830

District Rotary Foundation Chair 2006-2008 and member of many other District and Club committees Member of Conference Committees and Chair District Conference 2021-22.

Una is widowed and has four grown-up children. She trained as a nurse and worked in many fields. She was the manager of Western District Health, WA including four small hospitals, and manager of Alcohol and Drug Service 2001-2003.
