Following the presentation to Ladner Rotary on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by Rotary International Board Director and DEI Taskforce Chair Valarie Wafer on April 6th, please plan to join fellow Ladner Rotarians for a conversation about the meaning, opportunity and impact of DEI on our own lives and on our future as Rotarians.

Rotary District 5040 is offering our club the services of facilitators trained by Rotary International’s service partner, Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI), to lead us in at least one "Facilitated Peace Conversation" to help us address issues within the club and within the community. The one-hour session is offered on zoom.

At this session one of the facilitators will explain the process and guidelines. With a focus on our topic of DEI, participating club members will use breakout rooms to discuss the topic in small groups. Then the full group will come back together to summarize what we learned.

This process will add some insight into who we are and perhaps give some direction about where and how we might shape our future together.

Use the link in this message to register and invite guests, if you wish. You will receive a Zoom meeting link once you are registered.

I hope you can join me, fellow Ladner Rotarians and guests in this conversation that's so timely and so important as we look ahead to doing new things in new ways in providing service above self, in fellowship and friendship, to our community and our world.
