The Rockville CT Rotary Club had its Annual Installation Dinner at Adam's Mill Restaurant. This year's dinner was even more special for two reasons. See article and pictures here!

On Monday June 8, the Rockville CT Rotary Club had their annual Installation Dinner. Normally, the dinner consist of recognizing the ending of one president and board's term with the beginning of the next as well as reflecting on the great things the Club has done in its past year. However, this year's dinner was even more special because it was the Club's honor to also distinguish two very important and giving people in the community. Both Thora Cowperthwaite and John Ryan were awarded the Paul Harris Fellow. The Paul Harris Fellow is for an award given to an individual that shows great commitment and compassion to their community. It's very easily recognized that both John and Thora display these characteristics. Congratulations to you both! Both are very deserving and the Club is overjoyed in awarding this to you! The Club would like to thank our current (outgoing) President Jim Turney for all of his excellent work this past year. It was unknown until the last minute who was going to be the 2014-2015 President but even though Jim was a new member, he stepped in and took the job. He was very passionate about being President and worked extra hard to make the the club made this year's Presidential Citation (which we did!!!) The Club's biggest concern was growing membership and, with the help of Jim, we were able to add 5 new members!! The Club would also like to say welcome to the incoming President, Lisa Reinhardt! Lisa starts her duties on July 1! Her main forcus this year is literacy. We know that Lisa will be great and her new board is excited to work with her!
