What is Rotary?

Rotary is an international service club made up of people who share passion for and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives across the globe. Rotary has clubs in almost every country, with more than 1.2 million members with diverse backgrounds. We unite to exchange ideas, apply expertise, and implement improvements that transform communities near us and in other countries.

Our District 6310 consists of 32 clubs in the upper and middle part of Michigan. We work locally and partner on international projects that address today's most pressing humanitarian challenges.

Why Should I Join a Rotary Club?

Joining one of our clubs ensures that with the right planning and man and woman power, we can impact our world for the better. Our meetings give you a chance to:

  • Make a positive impact on your community through service projects.
  • Establish business connections and lasting friendships.
  • Develop professional skills such as event planning, public speaking, and fundraising.
  • Find a mentor.
  • Include your family in service projects and events and get your children involved in youth programs.
  • Create a global network of friends.

I Am Interested in Joining? Now What Do I Do?

Contact one of our local clubs and attend a meeting. Each of our clubs has a unique personality and focus, so you may want to visit several clubs before you decide to join. Once you decide on a club, you will need to secure a sponsor. Any current Rotarian can sponsor you. In fact, you will probably receive many offers of sponsorship before you decide which club to join!
