Jul. 01, 2021 - Jun. 30, 2022
The purpose of this event is to permit the creation of volunteer lists. Stand alone lists not linked to an event can only be created if the club signs up for the enhanced volunteer module. The basic version of the volunteer module requires an active event to create a volunteer signup list. Only club members can register for an event. Each Rotary Year, we will create a new Volunteer List Anchor to provide accounting of volunteer hours in that period. |

Impowering Women to Impower Children
Nov. 05, 2021 12:00 p.m.
Educating Mothers to teach Children One in three children is growing up unable to read or write a single sentence. Building schools and filling them with children is clearly not working for the most marginalized populations. Amarok Society has found a new approach and that's what you'll hear about. They work with extremely poor, illiterate mothers and within a few months turn them into teachers of children throughout their slum neighborhoods. But it turns out when you give mothers an education, the ripple effect goes far beyond teaching children how to read and write and that's what this presentation is about.
