Rotary is a service-based organization that supports many public resources within its local communities. This past Saturday, June 23rd, members of the Rotary Club of Portersville-Prospect joined with members of the community to spruce up the outdoors at the Prospect Area Library to get ready for the planned summer activities.
The rain did not deter the volunteers as they weeded the stone garden, edged the lawn, and trimmed bushes. The old (and rotted) picnic table was removed and replaced with a new table generously donated by local businessman Howie Pentony of Pentony Capital Management.
The library’s Director, Jill Hambley, and library patrons (young and old) were excited to see the beautification efforts.
