I just want to take a quick minute to thank all of our members, Rotaractors, and guests who participated in our great fun-filled Gala on Tuesday night at Sorrento's Restaurant. As one of our members observed: "The entertainment was wonderful as well as the food and the company. I hope we made some good money for the scholarships. It was so nice to see some of the Rotaract gang, too. Again, thanks for the party; we had a lot of fun."
As promised, good fellowship ruled the evening, the magician mystified and the vocalist mesmerized with classic timeless songs...and your Club generated a net profit for Rotary Scholarships of over $2,450 thanks to everyone's generosity.
I am excited to announce part of the reimagined Pumpkin Fest Pancake Breakfast Raffle! With everything going on in the world we had to come up with a new way to raise funds and it was decided on a raffle would be an easy way for he club to generate replacement revenue from our typical pancake breakfast. Attached you will see an image of the raffle tickets. There are 600 total tickets which will be $25.00 each. The raffle will have three $1,000 winners and the lucky tickets will be drawn on Sunday October 25th.
The proceeds will go to support the food pantries in Sycamore and with the economic distress caused by the pandemic there has never been a greater need to support the food pantries that are supporting so many in our community. My goal would be for each Rotarian to purchase and sell at least five tickets to help us reach our fundraising goal! There will be no cash raffle offered by Feed My Starving Children this year so we as a club won’t be selling those raffle tickets; however that is another source of revenue for our club that we won’t be getting this year.
Getting your tickets:
I have spoken to Dr. Michele and she can bill your Rotary account for any amount of tickets you are willing to purchase.
I would be happy to either take an email or a call with how many tickets you would like and the information as to who’s name and phone number should go on the ticket so if they win we can contact them and then let you know what ticket numbers you have by taking pictures and emailing them to you so that it can be fully contactless with the tickets then getting billed to your account.
I would be happy to drop off tickets to anyone in person or in a mail box or at an office in the next few days and then collect the money from the sold tickets if you don’t want to have your account be billed.
Please let me know whatever I can do to make this the easiest process for everyone as I want this Raffle to be really successful! Hope everyone has a wonderful week and can support this fundraising effort!
