Due in part to the creation of the Oak Crest Satellite Club, the Sycamore Rotary Club has seen a phenomenal jump in its membership and attendance...and new Club President Ray Dembinski hopes this trend will continue during the coming year.

Ray gave his initial outline of goals for the coming Rotary year; he says in addition to membership, Rotary wants clubs to track their members' ages to see if its efforts to attract younger Rotarians is paying off.  All members are urged to go to their profiles on ClubRunner and update them -- not only with their date of birth, but with other pertinent information about themselves.

He says our Rotary Club is already on track to meet many of the goals required for the Club to receive certification from Rotary International; if members continue to get involved with projects, and keep up attendance at meetings, then this is achievable.

Club Treasurer Michele Jurkovic also presented a financial report for the Rotary Club; she says we will be able to meet all budgeted goals for the year, but urges members still in arrears on their dues to settle up as soon as possible.

The largest outlay made by our Club is for the accessible playground project at South Prairie Elementary School; Marijo Schwartz says that thanks to donations from many sources, including Rotary, they are now within $7,000 of the goal.
