Ray Dembinski jokes that he's thoroughly trained to be President of the Sycamore Rotary Club, because he's attended the offical President-Elect Training Seminar...three times.

Dembinski was formally sworn in as the Club President at the Installation Dinner on Wednesday, June 27th; this is the culmination of a years-long effort to take over the post, which was twice delayed due to health concerns.

Ray says the emergence of cancer earlier in this decade forced him to step aside during his time as President-Elect twice in two years; even though he feared the effects on his health, he was encouraged to keep at it until it became clear that the treatment could interfere with his ability to do the job.

But he now says he's healthy and ready to go to work as Club President; he will be going over plans for his year in office during the upcoming Rotary Club meetings in July.
