Our speaker this week was Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Loch, DO(MTP), CRNA, PhD, an Osteopathic Anesthesiology Pain Medicine Specialist with Chrystal Clinic in Sycamore.
Jeremiah leads the osteopathy practice at Chrystal Clinic. He graduated from the Osteopathic College of Ontario and has further specialized training in Biodynamic Osteopathic Principles and Practice. He is nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. In addition to his osteopathic training Jeremiah has practiced anesthesiology for over 50 years and has sub-specialized in pain medicine over the last 30 years, most recently limiting his practice to cancer pain medicine.
Manual Osteopathy is a holistic “hands-on” approach to assessment and treatment of dysfunctional patterns that are contributing to disease, pain and suffering. This soul-mind-body approach incorporates a gentle non-invasive form of touch, harmonic vibration and manual manipulation that focuses on the health of the whole person, not just the injured or affected part or area of pain. The intent is to free up the movement of health that has been impeded or locked up due to a multitude of factors, including emotional and physical traumas, dysfunctional belief systems, disease patterns, etc.
If you feel your state of health and sense of well-being is being compromised by such experiences as emotional and psychological stress, disease conditions, an inner sense of suffering, an inner experience of shock, a sense of spiritual distress, or a terminal diagnosis, gentle manual therapy addressing body, mind, soul integration may be helpful.
