Julie Sgarlata named Ovitz Award recipient for 2016

Julie Sgarlata has been named the recipient of this year's John W. Ovitz, Jr. Rotarian of the Year Award, as selected by the membership of the Sycamore Rotary Club.

Julie was lauded by incoming Club President Sue Emberson for her devotion to EarlyAct, especially the club at South Prairie Elementary School...as well as her enthusiasm and desire to contribute to any and all Rotary projects, as well as other efforts at her church and in the community.

She receives the award 23 years after her father, PDG and Past President Don Clayberg, was himself named Rotarian of the Year. The award was presented by Jane Ovitz, the wife of the late Doc Ovitz for whom the award was renamed in 2013.
