Rotarian Scott Schramer knows all about responding to a crisis. Since 2009 he has worked for the local ServiceMaster franchise and now owns the business after buying it from his uncle this past fall. For Schramer, he is committed to bringing the best possible restoration work to customers after a fire, flood, or other type of home or business disaster. Besides disaster restoration work, he and his seven employees can also do regularly scheduled cleaning jobs. Schramer says he was inundated with calls from the recent storms and brought on extra help to respond to damage reports. His franchise rights allow him to advertise in DeKalb and northern LaSalle Counties, although he can work anywhere.
Schramer was born in Sycamore and grew up in DeKalb. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University. He married Vanna, a Financial Analyst by profession, and they have two teenage sons, Logan and Lincoln. Both boys are active in high school baseball. Schramer himself is a big White Sox fan, although the current losing season is not what he wanted to see happen. When not responding to an emergency, Schramer says he enjoys travelling to places he’s never been before.
Schramer says he was drawn to Rotary so he can be a community volunteer and give back to the region which supports his business. When in need of restoration services, details on Schramer’s ServiceMaster Business may be found at www.servicemasterrestore.com.
