Classification: Brad Waller

 

Before becoming an attorney, and eventually moving onto the bench, Brad Waller was a college basketball standout...with a love of sports which he passed on to his family.

 

Waller went to Cincinnati after high school, but then transferred to Northern Illinois when his coach left for the NBA.  He played under Huskies coach John McDougal, during an era when NIU games filled the Chick Evans Fieldhouse...and the Huskies pulled off the occasional upset of a big-name school.

 

After playing for a short time in Europe, he eventually opted for law school; he earned his degree from NIU, and eventually became a bankruptcy trustee.  Waller was eventually appointed to a newly-opened Circuit Court seat in our area; he continues to live in town, and have lunch with Coach McDougal on a regular basis.
