Representatives of DeKalb County's Court Appointed Special Advocates were on hand at the October 4th Rotary Club meeting, urging those interested to volunteer their time...to help children caught up in the court system.
CASA advocates are trained volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in juvenile court with the goal of finding them a safe, permanent home. CASA advocates are the voice for abused and neglected children in court, providing the judge with the information necessary to make informed decisions for them. Becoming an advocate is the first step to having a positive impact on these children's lives.
Training begins in mid-October; you can apply online today at www.casadekalb.org/volunteer-app
