We were visited by Winnebago County Coroner, Sue Fiduccia.  She has served since 1995 when she was picked by her predecessor, Dr. John Seward.  Sue has won every re-election since then, but is stepping down this year at the end of November after over 20 years.  Some of her office’s many functions are to determine cause and manner of death, assist with identifications, perform autopsies and conduct inquests.  However, Sue sees her responsibility as more than that.  Over the years, she has brought a personal touch to the many grieving families she’s been involved with.  Her service to the community goes way beyond a normal workday or workweek.  Sue’s office also works to bring closure to veterans, area homeless, or families without sufficient economic means available to them.  Sue has truly been an asset to the community and we will miss her.
