Andrew Reynolds introduced Harlem High School Student of the Month, Miranda Johnson.  Her parents are Gerald & Tammy Johnson and her mother was able to attend with her.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, Creative Writing Club, Math Team, Track and Cross Country.  Miranda was also involved in the Jazz Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble and the Pep/Marching Band.  She’s active in the music community, playing French Horn with the Rockford Symphony Youth Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Brass Quintet and Brass Choir. Miranda enjoyed teaching beginning horn players in the summer.  She plans to attend a four-year university and earn an undergraduate degree in instrumental music education with an emphasis in horn performance and eventually become a university orchestra director.  Congratulations, Miranda, on being named Loves Park Rotary Student of the Month again! (Miranda was also named student of the month as an eighth grader.)
