President Dave Smith talked to us about the importance of donating to the Paul Harris Foundation. He would like to see our club have 100% participation in donation giving. Once your donation level reaches a $1,000, you will be considered a Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary will provide you a Paul Harris Fellow pin. After every additional $1,000, you will receive a sapphire for your pin and after five sapphires, you go to a Ruby and then a diamond. It is possible to be considered a benefactor if your estate makes a donation to the Foundation endowment fund. If anyone provides a donation of $250,000, you would have your picture on the wall at Rotary International headquarters. Dave thanked Dr. T for all his fine work over the years as Foundation chair. He encouraged anyone who has a question on giving to talk to either him or Dr. T.
