Mission of Hope Haiti

Stacy was here to talk to us about a group called Mission of Hope Haiti.  She is from the Rochelle club but is one of the people who started the Byron club with Mel Sparlin eight years ago.  She and her family have visited Haiti and are each sponsoring a child there.  Mission of Hope was founded in 1998 and exists to transform Haiti.  They are a Christian organization that hopes to help Haitians help Haitians.  Stacy said there are many urgent needs for food, clothing, housing, schools and all the essential needs of any society.  They recognize that one of the best means of helping this country is to educate their youth so that is a large part of the focus.  Stacy said her family fell in love with the people of Haiti and encouraged all to visit their and meet them firsthand, but at least to consider sponsoring a child for $35/month.  You can visit www.mohhaiti.org for more information or to make a donation.  Thank you, Stacy, for visiting us.
