We were visited by the founder, Shamika Williams, and her staff from KFACT.  KFACT (Keeping Families and Communities Together) is an all-girl holistic mentoring program to alleviate opportunity gaps among at-risk girls in the Rockford community. Services provided are education and career mentoring and intervention services. They help students transition from middle school to high school or high school to college or on to a career. They can assist with college selection, applications or financial aid, among other things. Their mission statement is “Building Healthy Futures for Girls through Holistic Mentoring”. Thank you ladies for sharing your vision with us.
