Jason Haller visited from Goodwill. He pointed out that they have 11 retail stores, a donation express and one outlet store. They also assist with preparation of taxes for low income families in cooperation with the federal Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Generally, this is for families with income below $54,000 annually. The program was started by the IRS in 1969 and last year Goodwill assisted VITA with over 3,200 tax returns in four traditional sites.
