John Hurley introduced our Harlem High School Student of the Month, Marissa Olson.  Her parents are Bryan & Lori Olson and were in attendance with her.  She scored 31 on the ACT test, has a GPA of 4.6 out of 4.0 and is #3 in a class of 464.  At Harlem, Marissa is the Activity and Membership Coordinator for the Key Club and also is a member of the Link Crew, National Honor Society, and the Math Club.  She is active at Third Presbyterian Church where she is president of the youth group and looks forward to going on a mission trip every summer.   She also is part of the Adopt-A-Shelf program at North Suburban Library District where she and other volunteers help keep shelves organized.  She hopes to pursue a degree in neuroscience at a four-year university to eventually become a neurologist.  With her grades and drive for achievement, we’re sure that she will excel at whatever she puts her mind to.  Congratulations, Marissa, on being named Loves Park Rotary’s High School Student of the Month!
