District Vocational Training Team takes trip to Uganda

Shannon Scheffel talked to us about her trip to Kemwenge, Uganda.  She was team leader and one of four members of the district vocational training team that took advantage of a global grant for districts 6420 & 9211 for economic & community development.  Also represented was a farmer, nutritionist and baker.  Shannon says the scenery was breathtaking with reserves all around them and they generally enjoyed cool weather .  Their host was Father John and his wife and all the residents were very enthusiastic about learning everything the team had to teach them, especially cooking and baking.  Shannon said Fr. John’s wife made an amazing meal for them at the end of their time there, incorporating virtually everything they had made while they were there.  Thanks, Shannon, for showing us our Foundation dollars at work!
