Our guest speaker was U.S. Navy veteran, Marvin Koch, local VFW Post Commander.  Commander Koch is a career veteran of over 21 years, serving in Iraq & Afghanistan.  His post has about 500 members but are always looking for more.  Any veteran of a foreign war who served overseas is eligible to join.  They are all volunteers and serve the community in many ways, raising money for area schools, serving meals & providing clothing for homeless and hungry vets and their families.  They also provide a military honor guard for our fallen vets.  They welcome visitors and contributions from the community in the form of canned goods, etc. and their hall is available to be rented.  Thank you, Commander Koch, and all the members of the military, for your service to our country.  A grateful nation thanks you!!
